Pineapple plants are and have been grown successfully on the East and West coast of Northland for the past 11 years. Geneva Fruits Ltd has appointed Bacmil Ltd to market their 400,000 plants. Bacmil Ltd staff has experience and knowledge in growing pineapple plants to assist a new grower to be successful.  One  hectare of land is sufficient for 40,000 plants. Planting the suckers/slips/ratoons can start in October, November and December.

Support will be given to a new grower right from the start through to harvest.

A Cooperative has been setup to support a new industry to grow and succeed.
